Amir Ghaderi

AMNESTY TENURE NOTE

Amir Ghaderi was appointed as the county governor of Mahabad by the then provincial governor of West Azerbaijan, Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian, in January 2022. He remained in this position until 17 December 2022, when Hassan Abbasi was appointed as the new county governor of Mahabad. Amnesty International was unable to find any information on any positions held by Amir Ghaderi between December 2022 and February 2026. In February 2026, Amir Ghaderi was appointed as the director general for roads and urban development of Kurdistan Province. While retaining this position, he was appointed as the coordination deputy of civil affairs of the Office of the Provincial Governor of Kurdistan by the provincial governor of Kurdistan in July 2026.

Hassan Abbasi. Amnesty names only the person who immediately followed the 2022 holder — later successors are omitted, and successors are not themselves on the 87 unless they also held a listed 2022 seat.

Amnesty International was unable to find any information on any positions held by Amir Ghaderi between December 2022 and February 2026. In February 2026, Amir Ghaderi was appointed as the director general for roads and urban development of Kurdistan Province. While retaining this position, he was appointed as the coordination deputy of civil affairs of the Office of the Provincial Governor of Kurdistan by the provincial governor of Kurdistan in July 2026.
