AMNESTY TENURE NOTE

Mohammad Heidary was appointed as the county governor of Ghasr-e Shirin in July 2022. He remained in this position until June 2023, when Mohammad Najafi was appointed as the new county governor of Ghasr-e Shirin. In July 2023, Mohammad Heidary was appointed as the county governor of Roudsar in Gilan province. He remained in this position until October 2024, when he was appointed as the director general of the Office for Cabinet Affairs. Amnesty International was unable to find state media articles confirming when Mohammad Heidary left this role or was appointed to subsequent positions. However, state media articles indicate that, as of May 2026, he held the position of director general for special follow-up affairs in the Office of the President.
