Morteza Miraghayee was appointed as the commander of the IRGC’s Basij Resistance Sector Corps of Sanandaj county in July 2022. He retained this position until August 2025, when he was succeeded by Akbar Esmaili. Amnesty International was unable to find any information on any subsequent positions held by Morteza Miraghayee.
