AMNESTY TENURE NOTE
Abbas Amri was appointed as the commander of the IRGC’s Basij Resistance Sector Corps of Baneh county in January 2021. He remained in this position until August 2024. Ali Ahmad Safizadeh was subsequently appointed as the new commander of the IRGC’s Basij Resistance Sector Corps of Baneh county. Amnesty International was unable to find any information on any subsequent positions held by Abbas Amri.
