Rasoul Karami Chegini was appointed as the FARAJA commander of Baneh county in March 2018. He remained in this position until November 2023, when he was appointed as the new FARAJA commander of Sanandaj county. Jafar Lotfi was subsequently appointed as the new FARAJA Commander of Baneh county. Amnesty International was unable to find state media reports confirming the exact date on which Rasoul Karami Chegini ceased serving as the FARAJA commander of Sanandaj county. However, state media reports indicate that he remained in the position as of October 2025. State media reports indicate that, by around February 2026, Kambiz Rostamnia had been appointed as the FARAJA commander of Sanandaj county. In May 2026, Rasoul Karami Chegini was appointed as the new FARAJA commander of Poldokhtar county, Lorestan province. He retained this position as of 2026.
