AMNESTY TENURE NOTE
Taleb Rahimi was appointed as the deputy commander of the IRGC’s Shohada Provincial Corps of West Azerbaijan in March 2021. He remained in this position until November 2023. Taghi Najmi was subsequently appointed as the new deputy commander of the IRGC’s Shohada Provincial Corps of West Azerbaijan. In January 2024, Taleb Rahimi was appointed by the then provincial governor of West Azerbaijan province, Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian, as the director general of the Bureau for Foreign Nationals and Immigrants of West Azerbaijan province. He retained this position as of 2025. Amnesty International was unable to find any updates on any subsequent positions held by Taleb Rahimi as of 2026.
