AMNESTY TENURE NOTE

Habib Shahsavari was appointed as the commander of the IRGC’s Shohada Provincial Corps of West Azerbaijan in February 2018. He remained in this position until June 2023, when he retired. Mohammad Hossein Rajabi was subsequently appointed as the new commander of the IRGC’s Shohada Provincial Corps of West Azerbaijan. Following his retirement, in June 2023, Habib Shahsavari was appointed by the then general commander of the IRGC, Hossein Salami, as one of his advisers. Amnesty International was unable to find any updates on any subsequent positions held by Habib Shahsavari as of 2026.

Mohammad Hossein Rajabi. Amnesty names only the person who immediately followed the 2022 holder — later successors are omitted, and successors are not themselves on the 87 unless they also held a listed 2022 seat.

Mohammad Hossein Rajabi was subsequently appointed as the new commander of the IRGC’s Shohada Provincial Corps of West Azerbaijan. Following his retirement, in June 2023, Habib Shahsavari was appointed by the then general commander of the IRGC, Hossein Salami, as one of his advisers.
