AMNESTY TENURE NOTE

Mohammad Taghi Osanlou was appointed as the commander of the IRGC’s regional Hamzeh Seyed Al-Shohada Headquarters sometime between March 2011 and March 2012, which corresponds to the Persian calendar year 1390. He remained in this position until June 2023, when he was replaced by Ali Akbar Pourjamshidian. Mohammad Taghi Osanlou was subsequently appointed as the coordination deputy of the Central Imam Hossein Headquarters. He remained in this position until October 2024, when he was appointed as the coordination deputy of the IRGC’s Ground Resistance Force. He remained in this position until August 2025, when he was replaced by Ahmad Akhavan. Amnesty International was unable to find any information on any subsequent positions held by Mohammad Taghi Osanlou.
