AMNESTY TENURE NOTE
Amnesty International was unable to find state media articles specifying the date of Yaghoub Rahshidi’s appointment as the commander of the IRGC’s Basij Resistance Sector Corps of Oshnavieh county. According to state media articles, he was the commander of the IRGC’s Basij Resistance Sector Corps of Oshnavieh county at the time of the 2022 protests. He remained in this position until June 2026, when he was replaced by Ghasem Karamzadeh. Amnesty International was unable to find any information on any subsequent positions held by Yaghoub Rashidi.
