AMNESTY TENURE NOTE
Jafar Tavan was appointed as the county governor of Saqqez in April 2022. He remained in this position until February 2025. Zia Al-Din Nomani was subsequently appointed as the new county governor of Saqqez. Amnesty International was unable to find any information on any subsequent positions held by Jafar Tavan.
