AMNESTY TENURE NOTE
Majid Mir Ahmadi was appointed as the deputy minister of interior for police and security in December 2021 by the then minister of interior, Ahmad Vahidi. He remained in this position until September 2024 when he was appointed as the deputy head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces for intelligence and security. State media reports indicate that, as of December 2025, he retained this position, but he no longer held this role as of April 2026. Amnesty International was unable to find any information on any subsequent positions held by Majid Mir Ahmadi.
